Studies were conducted in North Carolina to determine the effect of cereal rye and oat cover crops with or without herbicides on Palmer amaranth density and growth in no-till pickling cucumber. Cover crop treatments (cereal rye, oat, and fallow) were evaluated alone and in combination with herbicide treatments for effects on Palmer amaranth control and pickling cucumber yield.
