Would you like to listen and learn from a farmer who has a yield of 206 bu/acre? Maybe. What if the farmer had 206 bu/acre yield with SOYBEANS? Alex Harrell, of southwest Georgia, will be one of our main speakers. Alex treated his seed with Brandt SeedZone Zn, planted a population of 85,000 in 30” rows, strip-tilled into a cover crop. (Brandt is sponsoring Alex Harrell). Shawn Conley, Extension Soybean Specialist, U. of Wisconsin, will return and be paired with Alex Harrell and Laura Lindsey, OSU Extension, during the Agronomic Crop Management session after lunch, Tuesday. Shawn Conley is always one of our most popular speakers.
Paul Jasa, Extension Ag. Engineer, U. of Nebraska, will return to CTTC as another one of our main speakers. He will speak on Wednesday in the session on Soil Health, No-till and Cover Crops, and probably in another session. Barry Fisher, a soil health expert, will also speak during that session.
Marion Calmer (Calmer Corn Heads) is a major sponsor again.
One or two more main speakers will be announced soon, including one sponsored by Pioneer.
The opening General Session will start at 8:30, March 12. Master Farmer Awards and the Ohio CCA of the Year will be announced.
All four concurrent sessions will begin at 10:00 a.m. The Tuesday sessions include: Soil Health, Cover Crops and No-till; Nutrient Management; Agronomic Crop Management; and Precision Ag & Technology.
