Manure & Commercial Nutrient Management Training

Manure & commercial nutrient management is regularly identified as information critical to farmers and those who work with farmers. This training is designed to not only explore those topics, but other important factors such as Indiana pesticide laws and anhydrous safety and soil health considerations. CEUs have been requested. Lunch included.

The training is designed with dual tracks: Commercial Fertilizers and Manures. Speakers and topics include:

  • 4Rs in Indiana – Ben Wicker, Indiana Agriculture Nutrient Alliance

  • Manure Management in a Soil Health System – Mark Legan, Legan Livestock and Grain/Indiana Soybean Alliance Board

  • Rules and Regulations – Matt Pearson, Office of the Indiana State Chemist

  • Anhydrous Safety and Soil Health Considerations – Adam Shanks, CCSI / Purdue On The Farm

  • Poultry Litter / Manure Solids Use – speaker TBD
