Pay Dirt – Elkhart County

August 22 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC-5

Pay Dirt IN-field, scheduled for August 22nd.

Building on the concepts covered in our March event, PayDirt IN-field offers a more hands-on approach. The event will take place on an operating Hoosier Homestead-recognized farm, showcasing row crops, cover crops, enhanced field borders, cattle grazing, an active stormwater pollution prevention plan, a county-regulated drain, and more!

We invite you to join us as we demonstrate erosion control best management practices, analyze soils, sample water quality, and engage in discussions on how the agricultural and construction communities can collaborate to enhance water quality.

The event will feature:

Product demonstrations from various local and national companies.

  • Side-by-side comparisons of stabilization techniques.
  • Multiple root pits showcasing soil variation and improvement methods.
  • Hoosier Riverwatch-style in-creek demonstrations and specimen analysis.
  • Enhanced field border examples are applicable to both rural and urban settings.
  • Conversations with industry experts on agricultural and stormwater topics.

Registration is FREE, and lunch is provided at no cost. If you sponsored our March event, your sponsorship for this event is also FREE. If you are interested in participating, please contact me directly to discuss the unique opportunities this event offers.
