Growing the Farmer-Led Model

Do you coordinate or support efforts to improve water quality in an agricultural watershed in the Midwest?

Please join us for Leadership for Midwestern Watersheds, February 27-28 in Oglesby, Illinois.

 

GROWING THE ‘FARMER-LED’ MODEL

This year’s theme emphasizes our commitment to recognizing farmers as vital partners and leaders in their watersheds. Presentations and discussions will focus on farmer leadership, with case studies on outreach, demonstrations, and incentives developed at the local watershed scale.

 

The event will take place at the Starved Rock Lodge and Conference Center from 9am-5pm Thursday, February 27th, and 8am-Noon Friday, February 28th. Please note that registration is limited to 100 participants. Meals will be provided, including a group dinner Thursday evening. Attendees are also invited to join a free social gathering Wednesday evening (February 26th) before the event.


AGENDA:

We will have an engaging agenda of presentations, panel discussions, interactive sessions, and ample time for networking.

  • Regenerative Leadership: Principles for Navigating Your Toughest Challenges – Ryan Erisman, Odyssey Collaborations, LLC
  • The Evolution of Wisconsin’s Producer-Led Program – Dani Heisler, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection
