Soil Testing for Soil Health with farmer and educator Rose Cherneff
In this workshop, we will deep dive into all things soil! The beginning of the growing season is the ideal time to get to know your soil, and learn how to work with it to make your garden healthy all year long.We will learn how to take soil samples and interpret the results of a soil test, and discuss how to amend our soil based on those results. In addition, we will discuss the ways that climate change and political violence are impacting soil health near and far, and explore bioremediation techniques that can support us in nurturing healthy soil in the future.
Rose Cherneff is a community gardener, and longtime valley farmer and educator, who runs community classes through Gardening for the Future exploring how to grow food and build community in the face of climate change.
