DESCRIPTION:This workshop will cover alternative sources of nutrition for crops. Learn about a wide range of alternative “solutions” coming on the market in response to increased costs of NPK (nitrogen/phosphorus/potassium) fertilizer inputs. The day includes discussion of research from University of Illinois and Clemson University\, as well as efforts to create soil stimulants based on algae being produced in South Carolina. \nThe workshop will include a presentation from an algae-producing facility on Kiawah Island and a special guest speaker from the University of Illinois. \nPrerequisite Knowledge: None
