DESCRIPTION:Native Plant Workshop Series-Invasive Plant Identification\, Cover Crops and Growing Natives from Seed \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin staff from the Marion County Soil and Water Conservation District and Indy Urban Acres for a workshop to learn about invasive plant identification\, cover crops and growing natives from seed! The workshop will be held at the 5 acre Indy Urban Acres farm site and will feature guest presenter Nathanael Pilla from Midwest Biological Survey. The workshop will include the following topics using various projects on the farm property: \n\nInvasive plant identification\nCover crops\nGrowing native plants from seed\n\n\nInformation on upcoming workshops\n\n\nDistribution of native plant resources\n\nThe workshop will also include repotting activities in the heated greenhouse at IUA. \nThe program is funded with the generous support of a grant from the National Association of Conservation Districts and USDA-NRCS. \nAttendees will be limited to 25 registrants. \nWhere: 7700 Shearer Rd\, Indianapolis\, IN 46219 \nWhen: 9:00-12 Noon on Friday 12/6.
