SUMMARY:Indiana CCA Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Indiana Board of Certified Crop Advisers and Purdue University will host their annual agronomy conference December 19-20\, 2023. This event has been attended annually by over 700 Certified Crop Advisers\, educators\, retailers\, and farmers from more than 14 states and provinces to hear about the latest research and technology affecting row crops. The Indiana CCA Board takes pride in creating an atmosphere of learning\, comradery\, networking\, and fellowship during this two-day event that is funded completely by the Indiana CCA program and its members. Certified Crop Advisors bring value back to your business through being trusted sources of sound and professional information to the farmers we serve. \nFor 2023\, we would like to ask for your sponsorship of the morning breakfast breaks\, the snack/drink breaks\, and the Tuesday evening social event. Your sponsorship will allow Indiana CCA funds to be spent on the travel and other meeting costs for high-quality researchers and experienced agronomists as speakers from around the country that Indiana CCAs might not have a chance to experience otherwise. These speakers can bring new thoughts\, new ideas\, and new perspectives to our Midwestern farming operations. Listed below is the breakout of sponsorship levels. As a sponsor\, you will be recognized on a conference banner showing the donor’s company logo broken out by sponsorship level\, as well as on the conference website. Donors will also be recognized in print on the agenda and verbally during the lunch presentation. \nPlease contribute to this fantastic event that keeps Certified Crop Advisers up to date on their continuing education credits and to remain knowledgeable in many facets of this ever-changing industry! Please contact our administrator\, Mershon Tobin at info@indianacca.org or (217) 762-7955\, with questions. Checks\, made out to Indiana CCA\, may be sent to Indiana CCA\, 109 East Main Street\, Monticello\, IL 61856 by November 30\, 2023. \n Diamond Level – $5000\nPlatinum Level – $2500\nGold Level – $1000\nSilver Level – $500 \nWe know and understand that support comes in forms other than monetary donations\, and your continued support of the Certified Crop Adviser program is greatly appreciated!

SUMMARY:Virtual: Successful Interseeding Cover Crops in Cold Climates
DESCRIPTION:More info/register \nJoin us as the presenter discusses strategies that are being implemented to help farmers in northern climates succeed with interseeding of cover crops \nJoin the presentation to learn about strategies being implemented to enhance the productivity of interseeded cover crops in northern climates. Interseeding cover crops can help farmers in northern regions grow a diverse mixture of cover crops otherwise not possible in most cases following a full season cash crop such as corn. However\, intereseeding success has been variable and farmers are concerned with making the investment with so much risk. Starting in 2020\, UVM Extension working with 30 farms throughout VT to implement a variety of practices that modified both how farmers grew the corn silage crop and how the cover crop interseeding was deployed. The goal was to modify both corn and cover crop practices to optimize cover crop establishment while not impacting the corn silage yield. The strategies deployed and the outcomes of the on-farm trial project will be highlighted through this webinar. \n  \nThis webinar is presented by USDA NRCS Science and Technology. \n
