The Feasibility of Cover Crops in Dryland Cropping Systems in SW Colorado and SE Utah

This project stems from the need to protect our soil and water resources, reduce our dependence on chemical inputs, improve soil health and fertility, and increase dependable production of healthy foods. We hope to achieve some of these benefits by incorporating cover crops in dryland cropping systems and by doing so, enhance their sustainability in the unique and challenging environment of SW Colorado and SE Utah.
