The shirt waist has a cotton lining and inner bodice that fastens with hooks and eyes down the center front. The outer silk later of the shirt waist is looser and fastens with hooks and eyes. Skirt has hook and eye closures at the back, is lined with the same black cotton, and the hem is lined with blue velvet. There are button holes around the collar for attaching a high collar.
